Retail & HospitalityProject Overview
SpaceForge developed the full interior design concept for a luxury restaurant in Abu Dhabi. The brief called for a dining environment built around connection, to natural light, to the landscape beyond the building, and to the people sharing the space. Every design decision was made in service of that idea. The architecture draws on regional material traditions without replicating them literally. Arched openings in warm rendered plaster frame views through the space and out to the desert landscape beyond full-height steel-framed glazing. A perforated timber ceiling, one of the defining elements of the design, filters natural light into the dining areas below, casting shifting geometric shadow patterns across the interior throughout the day. The material palette is deliberately restrained: terracotta-toned leather seating, natural timber furniture, polished plaster walls, and earthenware vessels used as both planting and sculptural accents. Mature olive trees anchor the indoor-outdoor lounge zones, softening the boundary between the restaurant interior and the exterior courtyard. Bathroom and service areas continue the same design language, sculpted plaster niches, indirect lighting, and matte black fixtures, ensuring the experience holds from arrival through to the smallest details. The design was delivered as a complete concept package including spatial planning, material specification, furniture selection, and lighting design.
