Project Overview

SpaceForge designed the first floor interiors for the same Al Jurf villa, carrying the ground floor's Wabi-Sabi-meets-contemporary language into the private living spaces, bedrooms, and leisure areas above. The bedrooms are defined by exposed timber beam ceilings, floor-to-ceiling glazing framing views of the surrounding ghaf forest and coastline, and a deliberately soft material palette — sheer linen curtains, sculpted plaster wall niches, and organic-form pendant lighting that feels handmade rather than manufactured. A sunken circular seating platform in the master living area creates an intimate focal point within the larger open-plan layout, dressed in moss green upholstery and anchored by a round timber coffee table, furniture choices that reinforce the organic, nature-led design direction established on the ground floor. Timber flooring runs continuously across bedroom and living zones, unifying the floor plate. The first floor also houses a private gym and games room, designed with the same material rigour as the residential spaces. Exposed concrete ceilings, full-height glazing overlooking the forest canopy, timber-and-steel shelving, and clean linear lighting create a space that feels integrated with the villa rather than bolted on. A billiard table sits at the centre of the leisure zone, with the gym equipment positioned to take advantage of the panoramic views. Every material and finish specification across the first floor was coordinated with the ground floor palette to ensure the villa reads as one continuous design — not two separate projects stacked on top of each other.
